It's time to replace wood with wood-plastic composite (WPC)

A number of beneficial physical and mechanical properties (such as strength, stiffness, fasteners holding ability, processability, attractive appearance etc.) as well as wide availability made wood one of the most widespread and commonly used construction and decoration materials. However, like any other material, wood fails to perform as expected in certain applications, especially being used outdoors and in humid conditions.

Due to its high water absorption, wood is easily affected by environmental factors such as humidity, temperature fluctuation and so on, appearing to be not the best option for exterior cladding, terrace decking, fencing and railing. Wood deforms (wraps, cracks, shatters), becomes porous (hence, less strong and stiff) and weatherable, loosing its original look that we all like.
